Zucker and Utah could consider a reunion this off-season

Jason Zucker was a member of the Arizona Coyotes last season before being dealt to the Nashville Predators at the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline.

Since then, the Coyotes have relocated to Utah and are now preparing for their first off-season as an NHL team.

Because he was a part of the team last season, he may be willing to return to help mentor the young core.

It also helps that Utah is a fresh start for the NHL, and the consistent issues that were happening in Arizona are behind them.

Zucker may attract attention from upwards of a dozen teams this off-season because of what he brings to the table.

He can produce 30-45 points regularly after playing four seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins and having success with the team. He knows what it takes to win.

Utah has a younger core with players like Clayton Keller, Dylan Guenther, Josh Doan, and others. Zucker would fit back into his role in the top six.

Depending on who else Utah can sign during free agency, he may be a part of a newly improved top six. Compared to what was there during his time with the Coyotes last season.

In terms of a contract for Zucker, a two-year deal with an AAV of around $4 million per season should get the deal across the finish line. This also allows Utah to trade him in the second year, depending on their positioning at the deadline.
