One of the first official signings of the Utah Hockey Club got his first taste of NHL hockey at prospect camp.

You all know how the song goes:

"The first Noel the angel did say..."

Okay, I know, it's too early for Christmas (it's still July, after all), but it's never too early to sing about Noel Nordh.

The 19-year-old forward from Sweden, drafted in the third round by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2023 NHL Draft, made his first appearance in Utah colors at prospect development camp, calling it a special moment for him and the other players.

However, Nordh is already making more moments for himself as part of Brynas IF and their youth programs.

As an under-16 player, Nordh scored 40 goals in just 23 games, allowing him to make the leap to the pros at age 18 with Brynas.

This past season, the Swede put up 15 points in 50 games with the club, and carried over that success with five points (three goals, two assists) in seven games for the Swedish national team at the under-18 World Junior Championships.

It's honestly not a surprise, then, Utah took advantage and signed him to a three-year entry-level contract just a week before this year's NHL Draft took place in Las Vegas.

While it's unclear if he will start the season in Tucson or in the NHL, Nordh's talent was on full display during prospect camp, and he will definitely be a name to watch come training camp.
