A key cog in Bruce Cassidy's bruising fourth line, he will no doubt be on the radar for many teams seeking to up their physicality this summer.

The Florida Panthers and Vegas Golden Knights have one goal in mind: Wear you down.

Following the mold of Tampa Bay's "Grind Line" of Blake Coleman, Yanni Gourde, and Barclay Goodrow that propelled them to back-to-back Stanley Cups, both the Panthers and Golden Knights assembled not one, but two bruising bottom lines that launched them to the top of the league.

It's what teams like Utah are seeking to emulate, and one of Vegas' biggest pieces, left wing William Carrier is seemingly on the move this offseason.

According to Vegas Hockey Knight, he and winger Anthony Mantha are assumed to be the odd men out this offseason.

(The Mantha news was later confirmed by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.)

Carrier scored a career-high 16 goals in the Cup-winning year for the Knights, but played only 39 games this season, mostly, again, as a fourth-line forward with Keegan Kolesar and Nick Roy.

A second-round pick of St. Louis in 2013, Carrier has made a name for himself as a grinder in the bottom six.

He signed a 4-year, $5.6 million extension with Vegas in 2020, extending it for one more year this last offseason.

With a salary ceiling of $43 million this offseason for Utah, it will be interesting to see if they will commit to bringing in Carrier, and for how much.
