The New Hampshire native spoke about playing the Boston Bruins, his first goal, and his thoughts on Manchester United after Friday's practice in Kearns.

Michael Kesselring wanted to change lines, but saw the Anaheim Ducks had no players back defensively.

So he instinctively jumped into the rush, snapped home a shot on the low glove side, and Utah soon found itself tied.

It's just part of the toolbox coach Andre Tourigny said was on full display on the team's first road trip, and something Kesselring wants to continue as the Utah Hockey Club prepares for tomorrow's game against the Boston Bruins at Delta Center.

"I grew up watching the Bruins, so it's always special playing them," Kesselring said. "The obvious thing is watching (David) Pastrnak; we've got to know where he is on the ice."

And with Kesselring now on the first pair with Mikhail Sergachev, he will likely see a lot of Pastrnak throughout the game, along with a Boston defence corps that is notorious for forcing turnovers in dangerous areas, he added.

"Sergy's a really underrated D-man in our league," Kesselring said. "He's talking to me a lot, trying to point some things out. It looked pretty good the other night; I'm excited to keep that going."

He added while the absence of Sean Durzi is huge, the message from the coaching staff is simply "be your own player".

And Kesselring certainly does that, on the ice, on the golf course, or even when he's supporting Manchester United -- while surrounded in the locker room by fans of the Red Devils' rivals, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal.

"I don't know what they (Manchester United's ownership) should do," he said, laughing. "They've got to blow it up."
