Salt Lake City is continuing its celebration of the 2034 Winter Olympics coming back to the Beehive State.

Wednesday was one of the most iconic days in Utah sports history.

It was the day when Salt Lake was awarded the XXVII Olympic Winter Games, on Pioneer Day, no less, capping off a nearly ten-year project to bring the Games back to Utah.

And people did not waste any time in recounting the memories of those Games, including the Salt Lake Tribune.

And owner Ryan Smith and his wife Ashley didn't waste any time either promoting their new brand for 2034.

They made a special appearance in Paris with Sports dans la Ville, a French non-profit helping youth from disadvantaged neighbourhoods find opportunities through sports.

And fans continue to look forward to the 2034 Games, because the host committee is already thinking about the opening ceremony at Rice-Eccles Stadium, and what it may look like:

I think we can say Utah is fired up and ready for the Olympics to come back.
