The owners of the NHL's newest team spoke to the media prior to tomorrow's long-anticipated inaugural game.

Five-and-a-half months ago, the sun set on the Arizona Coyotes at Mullett Arena.

When the sun rises tomorrow morning, the Utah Hockey Club will be inaugurated as the National Hockey League's newest team at Delta Center.

Owners Ryan and Ashley Smith will be part of a fan-based press conference and introduction with NHL commissioner Gary Bettman on the plaza at 12:30 p.m. before a fan festival kicks off later on in the afternoon.

But first, the dynamic duo addressed the media Monday at the Jazz Basketball Campus in West Valley about the emotions of hosting the inaugural game, to be aired on ESPN nationally.

"I hope (our team members) get a moment to take it in and realize what they've been able to create," Ryan Smith said. "It's been pretty miraculous."
