You know by now there are plenty of prospects with plenty of talent.
They also come from a diverse background of hockey factories in both the U.S. and Canada.
While it will make for an interesting training camp in September, Utah fans can also rest in the knowledge they have plenty of that talent for now and for the future.
One of them is forward Sam Lipkin, who will begin his junior season with the Quinnipiac Bobcats this coming season.
The Philadelphia native started his career with the likes of the Hershey Bears and Philadelphia Flyers' youth programs, before joining the Chicago Steel of the USHL.
That was where Lipkin broke out, scoring 36 goals in 59 games in 2021-22, leading him to commit to the Quinnipiac program.
After two stellar seasons with the Bobcats, Lipkin got his first taste of professional hockey by joining Arizona's AHL affiliate, the Tucson Roadrunners, for seven games this past year, potting his first professional point via an assist.
At prospect camp, Lipkin put his skills on display by bagging two goals in the team's open scrimmage at Delta Center, the latter set up on a beautiful cross-ice feed on a one-timer.
You can tell the kid has a nose for the net, just like a lot of the prospects for Utah HC have, and he has a lot of upside -- also like a lot of the Utah prospects.
It'll be fun to watch him develop more this season, and to see if he gets another shot with the Roadrunners.
