The Utah Mammoth will open their annual prospect development camp later this month, giving fans and coaches an early look at the organization's newest first-round picks and future NHL talent.
The next wave of Utah Mammoth talent is about to hit the ice.
The organization announced Wednesday that its annual prospect development camp will run from June 28 through July 2, giving fans their first extended look at many of the franchise's most promising young players just days after the NHL Draft. While development camps are designed to build fundamentals and establish expectations, they also serve as the first opportunity for prospects to make an impression on the coaching staff—and on an eager fan base looking toward the future.
The camp opens June 28 with media availability featuring General Manager Bill Armstrong, the club's 2026 first-round draft selection, and several top prospects. The time for those interviews will be announced at a later date.
On-ice activities begin June 29 at the Utah Mammoth Ice Center, with sessions scheduled for 10 a.m. on both Monday and Tuesday. Monday's practice will be open to the public, giving supporters an early glimpse of the organization's newest additions and rising stars.
The week concludes July 2 with a four-on-four intra-squad scrimmage at noon, complete with on-ice officials and a game-like format designed to showcase the players' skill, decision-making, and competitiveness in live action.
Among the headline names expected to attend are recent first-round selections Tij Iginla (2024), Cole Beaudoin (2024), and Caleb Desnoyers (2025), a trio viewed as key pieces of Utah's long-term foundation. They'll be joined by goaltender Michael Hrabal, forward Gabe Smith, and defensemen Tomas Lavoie and Gregor Biber, providing one of the organization's deepest prospect groups to date.
A complete camp roster will be released following the conclusion of the NHL Draft.
Players will also be available to speak with the media after each on-ice session on June 29 and June 30, as well as following the July 2 scrimmage, offering additional insight into the organization's newest generation of talent as it begins its path toward the NHL.
