Arizona Coyotes defenceman, Travis Dermott, is officially listed as week-to-week with an upper body injury.
It’s unclear when Dermott suffered this injury but the Coyotes announced on Wednesday that they would be recalling defenceman Michael Kesselring from the AHL inferring that Dermott was indeed injured.
The team officially reported Dermott’s health status on Thursday.
Through ten games, Dermott had one assist ,13 shots, five hits and 14 blocks while averaging 17:29 seconds of ice time.
Dermott has not just affected the game of hockey with his play this season. He decided to use Pride Tape on the shaft of his stick during the Coyotes October 21 game which helped the NHL reverse its initial ban on Pride Tape.
In Dermott’s first game out on Thursday like against the St. Louis Blues, Josh Brown took his spot which should continue to be the case unless André Tourigny decides to play with an extra forward or put in Kesselring.
