Arizona Coyotes defenseman Troy Stecher will be out for 4-6 weeks with an apparent lower-body injury.
It seems that Stecher suffered this injury during Saturday afternoon’s game against the Nashville Predators.
Coach André Tourigny announced that with Stecher out, Juuso Välimäki will return to the lineup after being a healthy scratch for the past six games.
Forward Justin Kirkland was also called-up from the Tucson Roadrunners.
In 42 games this season, Stecher has one goal, four assists and five points while playing 18:41 minutes pergame.
The 29-year-old has been a staple for this Coyotes defensive core, serving as one of their more reliable defenseman.
The Coyotes are already dealing with injuries to a couple key players including Barrett Hayton and Nick Schmaltz.
