The club signed its second player out of prospect camp; the first since last Friday's open scrimmage at Delta Center.

Following an impressive performance at prospect development camp last week, the Utah Hockey Club signed defenceman Artem Duda to an entry-level contract.

The terms of the contract were not disclosed in the news release by the club.

Originally selected by the Arizona Coyotes in 2022 as the 36th overall pick, Duda spent last season with the Toronto Metro (formerly Ryerson) Falcons after playing in the Russian youth leagues.

Duda was groomed in the CSKA Moscow system beginning with the U-14 squad, breaking out with 20 points in 24 appearances with the U-16 team in 2019-20.

He then posted 41 points in 52 games with Krasnaya Armiya (Red Army) in 2021-22 with a +21 rating, leading him to be drafted by Arizona.

Duda now officially joins the pool of signees that include Julian Lutz (who did not appear at camp last week), Miko Matikka, and Noel Nordh.
