The 2024 first-round pick was one of many NHL players that took part in the Boots and Hearts Barn Burner game on August 7.

As we've seen throughout the off-season, the summer has been a time for relaxing with family and giving back to the community.

We've already seen Utah defenceman Mikhail Sergachev do that through hosting his youth camp in Russia, among other things.

Now it's time to look at the younger ones stepping up to do the same.

This time, it was Cole Beaudoin, the no. 24 overall pick in the 2024 Upper Deck NHL Draft, who got the opportunity to participate in the Boots and Hearts Barn Burner, an annual charity hockey game hosted by Barrie mayor Alex Nuttall.

The Barn Burner has raised over $2 million for local charities since it began, with a goal of $300,000 raised this year.

The game features prominent pros like John Tavares and Marie-Philip Poulin, but also included Beaudoin, who plays for the Barrie Colts.

It's another sign of what's to come character-wise for the Utah Hockey Club this season, notwithstanding Beaudoin is an athletic freak whose work ethic has been considered franchise-shifting.
