The Utah Hockey Club head coach talked about tonight's opponent and the challenge the Jets pose.

Andre Tourigny's first order of business when he arrives in Canada is to go to Tim Hortons.

While he didn't get a chance to answer what his go-to order is, he will get a chance to see how his team can build on Saturday's overtime loss at Vegas where Utah picked up a valuable point to kick off another four-game road trip.

"We willed our way to that point," Tourigny said after morning skate Tuesday at Canada Life Centre. "We didn't have our execution, but we played the game the right way."

Now sitting in the second wild-card position heading into tonight's showdown in the True North, Utah will face the red-hot Jets, who Tourigny said are the best in the league in almost every metric.

Winnipeg, off to its best start since their rebirth in 2011, leads the league in scoring (4.00 goals/game) and power-play percentage (44.1%), while they are ninth in shot attempts (607).

Utah, by contrast, is 12th in the NHL with 587 total shot attempts, while they are tied for the league lead with the New York Islanders for face-off percentage (56%) and third in the league in face-offs won (403).

By the numbers, then, you would expect tonight's game to be an up-and-down, high-scoring affair, which could tip the scales in favor of Utah, given they've put up more than 4 goals in each of their wins so far, the outlier being the 2-1 win over Boston.

Regardless, Tourigny said tonight's game will be a "good challenge" for a young team that he's seen grow up over the past few weeks.

"We want to be a good team," he added. "We want to be as good as we can offensively, and as good as we can defensively. We don't want to win 6-5 or 1-0, we want to win."
