The club will kick off its inaugural training camp with a rookie gathering in Kearns before traveling to Los Angeles.

Hockey is now right around the corner.

The Utah Hockey Club brought it to life with the announcement of their rookie camp roster, which will begin next Wednesday, September 11, at the Olympic Oval in Kearns.

This will officially mark the opening of the club's inaugural training camp, leading up to the pre-season opener on September 22nd in Des Moines, Iowa, versus the St. Louis Blues.

Among the inclusions are 2024 first-round picks Tij Iginla and Cole Beaudoin, but fans will also get their first look at Julian Lutz, who was the first signing in club history back in June.

In total, the roster has 26 players, and all of them will travel together to Los Angeles for the Rookie Face-Off Tournament, hosted by the Kings.

As released by the club, here is the full slate of players:

Forwards: Owen Allard, Cole Beaudoin, Kyle Crnkovic, Drew Elliott, Will Gavin, Tij Iginla, Sam Lipkin, Julian Lutz, Miko Matikka, Jacob Newcombe, Reggie Newman, Noel Nordh, Servac Petrovsky, Peter Repcik, Gabe Smith

Defencemen: Artem Duda, Terrell Goldsmith, Justin Kipkie, Maveric Lamoureux, Tomas Lavoie, Lleyton Moore, Maksymilian Szuber, Veeti Vaisanen

Goaltenders: Reid Cooper, Reid Dyck, Anson Thornton

The Rookie Face-Off in Los Angeles will begin Friday, September 13 with the club facing San Jose (for full details, read the article above).

The regular season for the club will start October 8 with a showdown against the Chicago Blackhawks, to be broadcast live on ESPN and ESPN+.
