Yesterday, the Utah Hockey Club beat the Chicago Blackhawks 2-1 to extend their winning streak to three games.
On paper, it looked like a regular 2-1 win, but after the game, a few things caught the ire of the media and quickly spread like wildfire.
The first issue that was brought up was the shot attempts—they were 93-39 in favor of Utah. This led to Blackhawks defenseman Seth Jones speaking to the media, which caught widespread attention.
Jones ripped the Blackhawks’ effort, sending shockwaves around the league. What made it even worse was that Jones had previously stated he wanted to be traded to a contender this season.
As for Utah, they extended their winning streak to three games and moved three points back of the final wild-card spot in the West.
Utah will now prepare to face the New Jersey Devils at home on Saturday, March 1, hoping to keep the streak alive.
