Utah Hockey Club Recalls Josh Doan and Jaxson Stauber

Both have been added to Utah's roster ahead of the regular season games starting back up

If Ingram's set to play, will his point streak continue?

Forward Josh Doan and goalie Jaxson Stauber have been added back to Utah's roster ahead of its game against the Los Angeles Kings. Stauber will be on an emergency basis.

It was anticipated that Doan would return after recently becoming a key contributor on the roster and playing in every game since Jan. 10.

Originally, he was sent to Utah's AHL affiliate, the Tucson Roadrunners, solely to keep him playing during the 4-Nations break. But now with practices ramping up, Utah wanted to have him back join the team ahead of its game against the Kings.

Meanwhile, the inclusion of Jaxson Stauber comes due to the day-to-day injury designation for goalie Connor Ingram, who was hit in the mask by a puck during the 5-4 win against the Washington Capitals.

While it isn't likely that Stauber will play according to coach André Tourigny, Stauber has played four games for Utah, coming away with a 2-1-1 record.

If Ingram's injury worsens or turns out to be more serious than the team originally hoped, Utah can rely on backup goalie Karel Vejmelka to carry the load and trust Stauber to be ready to fill in for the backup role. After all, both Vejmelka and Stauber have stepped in for Ingram earlier this season.

Stauber will ultimately be recalled on a much more temporary basis compared to Doan.

But what do you make of the recalls? Do you think Doan has played his last AHL game? Will Stauber end up playing for Utah? Let me know down below.
