The Utah Mammoth have placed Curtis Douglas on waivers for the purpose of re-assigning him to the American Hockey League (AHL).

Douglas, 25, has spent the entirety of his career in the AHL. After being drafted by the Dallas Stars, he went on to play for the Belleville Senators, Toronto Marlies, and Tucson Roadrunners, He will now head back to Tucson and play his sixth year in the AHL.

Douglas is a player that could earn a call-up this season. He was noticeable in the preseason, especially with his physicality. If he can get off to a good start with the Roadrunners, he could finally get the chance to play in the NHL.

The Mammoth's Cameron Hebig has cleared waivers after being waived yesterday. He will report to the AHL and join the Roadrunners. Last season with the club, he had 47 points in 67 games. He is in the same situation as Douglas, he will very likely earn a call-up if the Mammoth need it, if he can get off to a hot start with Tucson.
