
We’ve officially entered the month where hockey returns, which means we are less than 20 days away from the start of the 2025-26 NHL pre-season and training camp. Before that, though, there are a few other things that happen in preparation for the new season.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at what September will look like for the Utah Mammoth.
Mammoth Participate in 2025 Rookie Showcase in Colorado
The Mammoth will head to Highlands Ranch, Colorado, to participate in a mini rookie showcase tournament. The event will take place over three days, from Sept. 12-14, giving fans a chance to see some of the team’s top prospects in action.
Here is the schedule for the Mammoth’s rookie showcase:
Friday, Sept. 12 @ Colorado Avalanche - 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 13 vs. Vegas Golden Knights - 3:00 p.m.
The roster for the rookie showcase will be released closer to the start of the tournament.
Mammoth's 2025-26 Training Camp & Pre-Season
After the rookie showcase wraps up, the Mammoth’s training camp and pre-season will begin around Sept. 18 or 19. During the first few days, some of the invited rookies will return to their respective junior teams before the first pre-season game on Sept. 21, which kicks off a six-game pre-season schedule.
The Mammoth pre-season schedule is as follows:
Sunday, Sept. 21 vs. Colorado Avalanche (split squad game)
Monday, Sept. 22 @ Anaheim Ducks - 8:00 PM
Thursday, Sept. 25 @ Vegas Golden Knights - 8:00 PM
Tuesday, Sept. 30 vs. Los Angeles Kings - 7:00 PM
Thursday, Oct. 2 vs. Los Angeles Kings - 7:00 PM
Saturday, Oct. 4 vs. San Jose Sharks - 7:00 PM
Games marked in bold will be played at Idaho Central Arena in Boise
After that, the Mammoth will kick off their 2025-26 season against the Colorado Avalanche at Ball Arena on Oct. 9th.
