The NHL Draft Lottery order went unchanged which means Utah officially holds the sixth overall pick.

Utah’s National Hockey League franchise will hold the sixth overall selection in the 2024 NHL Draft.

Entering Tuesday's NHL Draft Lottery, Utah had a 7.5 percent chance of getting the first overall pick, but they did not move up or down in the draft order.

This was also the first time the draft order went unchanged since 2010.

On top of the sixth overall selection, Utah owns another 12 picks in this draft as the franchise has a big opportunity to bolster their young core.

The San Jose Sharks were awarded with the first overall pick followed by the Chicago Blackhawks, Anaheim Ducks, Columbus Blue Jackets and Montreal Canadiens.

Some of the top prospects in this year’s draft class include Macklin Celebrini, Ivan Demidov, Artyom Levshunov, Cayden Lindstrom, Cayden Lindstrom, Sam Dickinson and Zayne Parekh.
