Utah has announced the signing of Liam 'Brien to a 3 year extension

The Utah Hockey Club announced that they have signed Liam O'Brien to a three-year contract extension.

The deal carries an AAV of $1 million per season for the next three years.

O'Brien, also known as "Spicy Tuna," has been known as a very big locker room guy who wears his heart on his sleeve. He has proven in the past that he will do anything for his teammates, including fighting to defend them.

At 29 years old, he will now call Utah home for three years and try to help them turn around the franchise to compete for a playoff spot.

O'Brien plays a very hard-fought game and will quickly become a fan favourite in Utah.

He isn't known for producing points; he had a career-high 14 points last season with the Arizona Coyotes. He is known for his physical play; he finished 20th in hits last season with 229.

He will also drop the gloves with just about anyone, including Ryan Reaves, who is much larger than O'Brien, but he holds his own and does it for the crest on the front rather than the name on the back.

Get ready, Utah; Spicy Tuna is here to stay!
