Now that the dust has settled, let's look at a few solid free-agent options for the Utah Hockey Club

As we head into day two of free agency, it is time to look at who else is available for the Utah Hockey Club to sign. With $15 million in available cap space and only Barrett Hayton left to sign, the team needs a few other depth pieces to help compete this season.

1. Filip Zadina

Filip Zadina, 24, has had a tough ride in the NHL. He started his career with the Detroit Red Wings, and when things didn't work out for him, he was placed on waivers to buy out the remaining two years of his contract. He then joined the San Jose Sharks but was left unqualified and has since become a free agent.

In 72 games with the Sharks, Zadina has 13 goals and 10 assists, for 23 points in 72 games. Last season, he made $1.1 million and may be looking for a bit of a raise. If Utah can work out a deal with him, it could be around $1.5 million for one year.

2. Erik Brannstrom

Erik Brännström, 24, was left unqualified by the Ottawa Senators, who would be a great fit for Utah. Brännström has a lot to prove in the NHL and could benefit from playing on the last pairing beside Ian Cole.

Brännström is coming off a season where he had 3 goals and 17 assists in 76 games and made $2 million. With him being left unqualified, Utah may be able to get him for around the same price.

3. Daniel Sprong

Daniel Sprong, 27, can step into Utah's middle six as soon as he signs. He has been a proven secondary scorer and could be a big-impact player on a roster like Utah's.

Last season, in 76 games, he had 18 goals and 25 assists for 43 points, while only making $2 million. If Utah does sign him, they can offer a bit more, somewhere around $2.5–$2.75 million for one season.
