Utah Hockey Club's Josh Doan has been named to Team USA's roster for the World Championships in May.

Doan, 23, wasn't a part of the first round of players named; however, he was added to the roster today, as per USA Hockey.

He split time between the NHL and the AHL with the Tucson Roadrunners. In 51 games with Utah, he scored seven goals and 12 assists for 19 points. At the AHL level, he played in 28 games and recorded 11 goals and 15 assists for 26 points.

Doan will now join Logan Cooley, Clayton Keller, and Michael Kesselring in Sweden and Denmark, as all will represent Team USA.

As of right now, the only other player from Utah heading overseas is Karel Vejmelka, who will play for Czechia and try to help defend their gold medal from last season.

However, there hasn’t been much news out of Team Canada, which could include a few players from Utah like Dylan Guenther.

The IIHF World Championships run from May 9–25. The expectation is that official rosters will be released very soon.
