The former Seattle Seahawks legend ran into the Utah draft pick (who played for the Seattle Thunderbirds) and hilarity ensued.
Marshawn Lynch was known for running through people in his time in the NFL.
Tij Iginla, on the other hand, uses his speed to skate past people on the ice, and he'll definitely do that with the Utah Hockey Club.
So, what happens when those two collide in real-life?
You get one extremely hilarious interaction.
Utah HC's social team released a video yesterday where Iginla met the man known as "Beast Mode" for the first time, and it went about as you would expect.
Screenshot taken from Utah HC on Instagram (IG/utahhockeyclub)Of course, Lynch couldn't help himself but try to "fight" Iginla (as fellow first-rounder Cole Beaudoin watched), commenting on the youngster's strength and "long-(expletive) arms".
But it was all fun and games as Lynch wished Iginla, the no. 6 overall selection in the draft, the best, as Lynch said he can check fighting a hockey player off his bucket list.
You can expect Beast Mode will be in attendance when Utah makes its first trip to play the Kraken, and just maybe Iginla could be playing, too.
