Here is where the Coyotes rank in the Western Conference and Central Division standings through the first 11 games.

Through the first eleven games of the 2023-24 season, it’s safe to say the Arizona Coyotes look like a much better team than they have over the past couple of years

The Coyotes currently place fifth in the Central Division with a 5-5-1 record and 11 points.

They are currently behind The Dallas Stars, Colorado Avalanche and Winnipeg Jets while being tied in points with the St. Louis Blues who have a game in hand over the Coyotes.

Arizona is ahead of the Nashville Predators, Minnesota Wild and Chicago Blackhawks in the division.

While it’s still very early in this season, it’s hard not to look at the playoff picture where for the first time in a while it seems the Coyotes are actually in the conversation.

The Coyotes are just a game behind the Blues for the second wild card spot in the Western Conference despite being tied in points.

There is still a long way to go before the playoffs even begin but seeing Arizona in the hunt must be encouraging for fans.

There are openings to make it into the playoffs especially in a Western Conference that is in a weird point where it is just not as deep as the Eastern Conference.

If the Coyotes do want to stay in the hunt, they will need to play more consistent hockey game in and game out which has seemed to be a little bit of an issue to start the year.

Here is a message to all Coyotes fans: keep your eyes out at the standings as it will be a wild roller coaster ride for Arizona in their pursuit for a playoff spot.
