The Coyotes' Tuesday night matchup against the Canadiens marks Kerfoot's 500th NHL game.

Arizona Coyotes forward Alexander Kerfoot is set to accomplish a very important milestone on Tuesday night.

The Coyotes’ matchup against the Montreal Canadiens marks Kerfoot’s 500th career game in the NHL in what will truly be a special moment for him.

“I feel very fortunate,” Kerfoot said. “A lot of people have contributed to me getting here. Obviously parents, family played a huge role in that. A lot of teammates and coaches throughout my career made me better and it’s special to play in the NHL and play in the NHL for a long time. I hope to keep playing and keep playing for a lot longer, but it is special and it would be a lot more special with a win.”

Through his seven seasons in the NHL, Kerfoot has played for the Colorado Avalanche, Toronto Maple Leafs and Coyotes. He’s tallied 82 goals, 170 assists and 252 points.

The 29-year-old forward is known to be a player that coaches love to have in the lineup due to his versatile skill set.

Kerfoot can really do it all as he provides elite play both offensively and defensively. He continues to prove his worth time and time again.

Throughout his first season with the Coyotes, Kerfoot has played in practically any position you can possibly think of. He’s filled in roles as both a center and winger while also serving on the power play and penalty kill.

Coach André Tourigny appreciates the rare traits that Kerfoot brings to the table, complimenting him not only by his play, but by his infectious personality.

“Kerfy is a guy you can use everywhere. He’s flex player,” Tourigny said. “He’s a great leader, he’s an unbelievable person, and he’s the kind of guy who plays both sides of the puck.”

In 57 games with the Coyotes this season Kerfoot has eight goals, 25 assists and 33 points while averaging 17:22 minutes pergame.

Not many players have the opportunity to reach the 500-game plateau, but Kerfoot is a guy that will accomplish many more things in his career and be in this league for a very long time.
