On Saturday, Doan became the first Coyotes player to record a point in his first three games.

The 22-year-old has two goals, three assists and five points while averaging 13:28 minutes of ice time in his first few games.

Doan scored two goals in his NHL debut against the Columbus Blue Jackets last week, marking a historic night for the Coyotes organization and fans in the Valley.

Even with all of the expectations on his shoulders due to being the son of longtime Coyotes captain Shane Doan, Josh is exceeding it all.

He has really emerged as one of Arizona’s top forward prospects and continues to play exceptionally well at every level of hockey including the NCAA, AHL and now NHL.

There is still a long way to go before Josh truly establishes himself with the Coyotes but, he is certainly on track to do some great things if he keeps this up.
