It's been easy to notice the progression of Logan Cooley as of late and it's something Coyotes' fans should be very excited about.

While watching the Arizona Coyotes as of late, it’s been clear that Logan Cooley has really improved from just a few months ago.

Upon entering the NHL this season, Cooley was a little bit timid both on and off the ice, but as time progressed, he has really seemed to adjust quite well to the professional hockey lifestyle.

Confidence is a big thing for the 19-year-old right which he seems to have a lot of right now.

“I’ve always had confidence,” Cooley said. “I’ve always been a guy who has had confidence. Even when I’m not playing my best I still have it. For me it’s just being comfortable in this league. Knowing you can make that play, knowing you can beat defenders wide, being reliable out there, so I think like I said it’s a learning process and I’m just trying to get better each game.”

Through 69 games, Cooley has 13 goals, 19 assists and 32 points. Offensively the young center is really starting to hit his stride.

Being on a line alongside Dylan Guenther has played a major factor in Cooley’s offensive spark.

“It’s awesome,” Cooley said on playing with Guenther. “Obviously Guenther is a guy that fits with me really well. I like having a shooter on my line and a guy that has good speed too. We read off each other really well. It’s been unbelievable playing with him, he has been great ever since being called up and it’s helped my game too.”

Arguably the most impressive part of Cooley’s individual game is his transformation into a really reliable two-way center.

Cooley has earned minutes on the penalty kill and is playing in late game situations when the Coyotes are attempting to maintain a lead, which just shows that coach André Tourigny truly does trust him.

“I think it’s just a learning process of how to play in this league,” Cooley said about his defensive progression. “That’s something I’ve always strived to be as a two-way player, not just a one dimensional player. I’m still trying to learn as much as I can and there is still a lot of work to be done to be considered a two-way player in this league. You just try to watch other guys around the league, see how they kind of play their two-way game and try to put it into mine.”

The sky's the limit for what Cooley could accomplish for the Coyotes in the future and he should only continue to get better as time goes on.
