Utah defenseman Olli Määttä has exited with a lower body injury and will not return in Utah's game against Florida.

The injury happened midway through the second period.

Määttä only had played 6:17 in the game before going back to the locker room with the injury.

A hit from Määttä on Florida's A.J. Greer at 5:38 of the second period, caused him to fall and could have been the play that got him injured. However, it is currently unknown if that caused the injury, as both Greer and Määttä initially got up and appeared fine.

Utah has been relatively healthy ever since returning from the 4-Nations Face-off. While Utah hopes the injury isn't too severe for its defenseman, Nick DeSimone is available to step in if Määttä is unable to return.

Despite Utah only having five defensemen, it was able to force overtime before losing 2-1 to the Panthers.
