For the last time ever, Marie-Philip Poulin and Hilary Knight will meet for gold at the Olympic Games.

The pair are entering their fifth and final gold medal game against one another, leaving the Olympics sitting atop their respective nations all-time for goal scoring at the Olympics.

The pair first met at the 2009 World Championships. It was a teenage Poulin's senior national team debut, while Knight, who is two years Poulin's senior, had already twice before represented the United States at the World Championships. This year in 2026, Poulin, 34, and Knight, 36, both captains for their nations, are meeting for the last time ever at the Olympics.
