The most common league NHLers migrate to when they can't find a job in North America is the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Although it may not be as competitive as it once was, the KHL still features highly-touted Russian players and many former NHLers.

Josh Leivo is quickly becoming a staple in the KHL. The 33-year-old played games in 10 NHL seasons, racking up 42 goals and 93 points in 265 games. Since joining the KHL in 2023, Leivo has scored 96 goals and 196 points in 181 games.

Leivo led the KHL in goals and points in 2024-25, winning MVP that season. He's off to another great start, recording six goals and 13 points in 17 games.
