The Abbotsford Canucks had a Game 3 to remember as they defeated the Charlotte Checkers 6-1. Abbotsford was easily the better team, as they dominated on special teams in front of a sold out Abbotsford Centre. With this in mind, here is a look at three Canucks standouts from Game 3.

    Arshdeep Bains

Arshdeep Bains stepped up in front of the home crowd in a big way as he scored two goals and recorded two assists. One of his goals came with the man advantage, while the other helped seal the game as he scored his fifth into an empty net. Tuesday was easily one of Bains' best games of the playoffs, as he was able to have an impact in all situations.

Tuesday was a good example of just how important Bains is to this team. He helped shut down Charlotte's top line while continually generating scoring chances throughout the night. If Bains can replicate his offensive production in Game 4, there is a good chance that Abbotsford takes a 3-1 series lead.

    Linus Karlsson

Linus Karlsson was the Canucks best player on Tuesday as he scored the game-winner while also recording four assists. In the process, he set a new AHL record, as his 11 goals are the most by a Swedish player in a single Calder Cup Playoffs run. Now with 22 points in 21 games, Karlsson is showing that he can step up when his team needs him the most.

Karlsson's playmaking ability was on full display in Game 3. On top of recording two primary assists, he was also able to hit teammates with breakout passes that led to scoring chances. Overall, Karlsson has been one of Abbotsford's best skaters all post-season and had a night to remember in Game 3.

    Artūrs Šilovs

The legend of Artūrs Šilovs continues to grow after yet another impressive performance. He stopped 28 of the 29 shots he faced, while also recording the primary assist on the Canucks fourth goal. The front-runner for Calder Cup Playoffs MVP, Šilovs, has now made over 100 saves in this series.

It is hard to imagine where this series would be without Šilovs' spectacular play. He came up with clutch saves and frustrated the Checkers all night. If Šilovs keeps playing like this, he could find his name etched on the Calder Cup at the end of the series.
