The Vancouver Canucks take on the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday night.

The Vancouver Canucks (23-18-10) return home from their three-game road trip on Sunday to take on the Detroit Red Wings (26-21-5). Detroit is one of the hottest teams in the NHL right now and comes into this game riding a five-game win streak. That being said, the Red Wings did play on Saturday night in Calgary, which could mean some tired legs on Sunday night.

Get To Know New Canucks Marcus Pettersson & Drew O'Connor

Heading into Sunday's game, there are a lot of questions surrounding what Vancouver's lineup will look like. Quinn Hughes and Kiefer Sherwood are game-time decisions, while it is unclear if Filip Chytil, Marcus Pettersson and Drew O'Connor will be making their Canucks debuts. Regardless of what roster Vancouver puts together, they need to put together a strong performance in front of the fans at Rogers Arena.

    Players to Watch:

    Elias Pettersson:

With J.T. Miller now traded, all eyes will be on Elias Pettersson. He is now undoubtedly the Canucks number-one center and will need to start producing offensively at a higher rate. Pettersson had a strong game Friday night against the Dallas Stars; now, he needs to keep the momentum going and try to extend his point streak to four games.

    Vladimir Tarasenko:

Sunday could be a milestone night for Vladimir Tarasenko. After collecting his 650th assist on Saturday, Tarasenko needs one more goal to hit the 300 mark for his career. While Tarasenko is having a down year from an offensive production standpoint, he is still dangerous and will be looking to hit the career milestone against Vancouver.

    Vancouver Canucks (23-18-10):

    Quinn Hughes: 14-45-59
    Conor Garland: 14-20-33
    Brock Boeser: 16-17-33
    Elias Pettersson: 11-22-33
    Jake DeBrusk: 18-13-31

    Detroit Red Wings (26-21-5):

    Lucas Raymond: 20-36-56
    Dylan Larkin: 23-26-49
    Alex DeBrincat: 21-19-40
    Moritz Seider: 4-27-31
    Patrick Kane: 11-19-30
