The Vancouver Canucks (26-20-11) start a California back-to-back on Wednesday when they battle the L.A. Kings (31-17-7). This will be the final of three meetings between these Pacific Division rivals, with each team picking up a victory on the road. With a win, the Canucks would jump back above the Calgary Flames in points and be above the playoff bar at the end of the night.

While it may seem obvious, the biggest key for Vancouver in this game will be getting shots on the net. The Kings currently sit second in the league in terms of shots against per game, as they are only allowing 25.5 a night this season. Based on the way the Canucks are playing as of late, they need to stop hesitating and just throw everything they can on L.A.'s goaltender Wednesday night.

Players to Watch:

Filip Chytil:

Filip Chytil has had a strong start to his career with Vancouver. He has three points in six games and has recorded a total of nine shots in the two games since the 4 Nations Face-Off. Projected to play beside Dakota Joshua and Conor Garland in this game, Chytil needs to keep using his speed and skill not just to generate chances of his own but also to set up teammates in scoring positions.

Kevin Fiala:

After a slow start to the season, Kevin Fiala has kicked his game into high gear during the month of February. The Kings winger has nine points in six games and has found the back of the net at least once five times since the start of the month. If the Canucks want to slow down L.A., they will need to find a way to slow down Fiala.
