The Vancouver Canucks (37-15-6) wrap up their three-game road trip Thursday against the Seattle Kraken (23-21-11) at Climate Pledge Arena. This will be a big game for Vancouver as they look to snap their season-long three-game losing streak while continuing to separate themselves atop the Pacific Division. With a victory, the Canucks would match their win total from last season while also improving their record against Seattle to 8-3 all-time.

Overall, this will be a tough test for Vancouver. While the Kraken are one of the lowest scoring teams in the NHL, they also do not give up many opportunities, ranking third in the league with 25.18 even strength scoring chances per 60 minutes. If the Canucks do have their sights on breaking this mini-slump, they will need contributions from the entire lineup, plus some success on the power play.

    Players to Watch

    Tyler Myers

Tyler Myers is often the center of attention when Vancouver and Seattle face off. Last year, he injured Matty Beniers right before the All-Star Game, while this season, he delivered what some viewed as a high hit to Oliver Bjorkstrand. Expect plenty of boos when he touches the puck and potentially a fight, as he seems to have become public enemy number one in the eyes of the Kraken faithful.

    Jared McCann

Ever since arriving in Seattle, all Jared McCann has done is score. He is one goal short of his third straight 25-goal season and comes into this game with three goals in his last two games. A player who has had some success against the team that drafted him, he will be looking for his first goal against the Canucks since Jan. 25, 2023.
