Ty Mueller will become the latest Vancouver Canucks prospect to make his NHL debut this season. The 22-year-old center was called up on Saturday and will replace Max Sasson, who is sick, in the lineup when Vancouver takes on the Minnesota Wild. Drafted 105th overall in 2023, Mueller will become the fourth prospect to make his debut with the Canucks this season, joining Sasson, defenceman Elias Pettersson and Jonathan Lekkerimäki.

Mueller is having a rookie season to remember in the AHL. Through 62 games, he has 38 points, and was the Abbotsford Canucks representive at the 2025 AHL All-Star Classic. According to Mueller, he will have family in attendance on Saturday, as around 15 people will be flying into Vancouver.

As for linemates, it looks as though Mueller will center a line with Brock Boeser and Jake DeBrusk. This was the line that Sasson was on, so sliding Mueller in is an easy switch. More information on line combinations will be available closer to game time.

The Canucks kicks off their final homestand of the season with a matchup against the Minnesota Wild. Vancouver will have the chance to play spoiler, as the Wild will be a desperate team looking to inch closer to securing a playoff spot. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 pm from Rogers Arena.
