JT Miller's time in Vancouver has been relatively brief, but he's managed to make a significant impact for the Canucks

JT Miller's next point will be his 300th as a Canuck. While the 30-year-old hasn't been here long, he has certainly been productive. Never more so than the 2021-22 National Hockey League season when he recorded a career-high 99 points. In 283 games since being acquired from Tampa Bay on Draft Day in 2019, Miller has scored 106 goals and added 193 assists. His 299 points places him 29th all-time in franchise scoring with a very realistic chance he'll move into the top 20 by the end of this coming season.

Should Miller score 30 goals (as he has in each of the last two seasons), he will climb the ranks and become one of the Canucks top 20 all-time goal scorers. He begins the season in 27th on the list two goals behind Ron Sedalbauer. Elias Pettersson and Brendan Morrison currently sit 20th with 136.

Miller also has a golden opportunity to move into the top 12 all time in assists by a Canuck. He has 193 so far and a 50-assist season will move him past Doug Lidster who has 242. Miller would need 70 assists next season to slide past Todd Bertuzzi (261) and into the franchise's top 10 in that category.

And since his arrival in Vancouver, Miller has produced more points than any other Canuck.

Perhaps surprisingly, because of his relatively brief tenure, only two players are ahead of Miller on the Canucks all-time overtime goals list. Daniel Sedin sits alone with 16, but Miller can move past Brendan Morrison into solo second with three OT markers next season. Miller is currently tied with Sami Salo with seven apiece while Morrison scored nine in his time in Vancouver.

And Miller begins the new season sitting on 197 career penalty minutes as a Canuck. That is 99th in franchise history. The rugged centre/winger will certainly pass the 200-minute mark early in the schedule. But he's still a ways from cracking the top 50 on the all-time list. Miller would need 170 penalty minutes to climb into the top 50 and that could take a few seasons. His career high for penalty minutes in a season was established last year with 60.

For what it's worth, among active Canucks, Tyler Myers is the penalty minute leader with 242 which places him 78th in franchise history.

In part four of our series we'll examine the potential milestones within Brock Boeser's reach this coming season.
