After defeating the Nashville Predators 2-1 in Game 3, the Vancouver Canucks enter Game 4 with a chance to go up 3-1 in the series. With a win, Vancouver would also extend their playoff in Nashville to five, as the Canucks have yet to lose a game at Bridgestone Arena in the postseason. Teams that go up 3-1 in a series have an 89.2% win rate, showing just how crucial this win is to both clubs.
Heading into Game 4, the main focus for Vancouver has to be getting shots on the net. In Game 3, the Canucks managed just 12 shots and rank last in the postseason, averaging 17 shots per game. While the low shot total worked in Game 3, Vancouver will have a tough time if they continue to average below 20 shots a game for the rest of the series.
Players to Watch
Elias Pettersson
After a challenging first three games, it's time for Elias Pettersson to take over this series. The Canucks star center has one secondary assist and three shots in the series while also posting a plus/minus of -4. Whether it is on the power play or at even strength, Pettersson has to find a way to get on the scoresheet in Game 4.
Ryan O'Reilly
While Ryan O'Reilly has been dangerous, he only has one goal and six shots in the series. Averaging over 22 minutes a night, it is only a matter of time before the former Conn Smythe winner starts capitalizing on his opportunities and becoming an even bigger problem for Vancouver. Expect to see plenty of #90 in Game 4 as he looks to do everything he can to even the series.
