For the first time in franchise history, the Abbotsford Canucks are off to the AHL's Western Conference Final. Their opposition will be the Texas Stars, who are the AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars. Since Abbotsford had a better record in the regular season, the Canucks will have home-ice advantage for the best-of-seven series.

Vancouver Canucks At The 2025 IIHF World Championship: Tournament Recap
The 2025 Calder Cup West Final will have a 2-3-2 format for hosting games. Abbotsford will host Games 1 and 2 before travelling to Cedar Park, Texas, for Games 3, 4 and 5. If the series goes longer than five games, the teams will return to the Abbotsford Centre for Games 6 and 7.
The first few games of this series will be intriguing as the Canucks and Stars did not meet this season. In fact, Abbotsford and Texas have never met in AHL play, meaning that there is no previous history that the two teams can draw on. Based on the way these two teams have played in 2024-25, fans will be in for a treat as the Canucks and Stars battle for a spot in the 2025 Calder Cup Final.
