With many of the Canucks top prospects playing in Europe or at the NCAA level, the team's Young Stars roster is missing some top end star power. The past two first round picks Jonathan Lekkerimaki and Tom Willander along with defenseman Elias Pettersson will not be taking part in the Penticton tournament.

The Canucks open the Penticton tournament on Friday night against Calgary. They face Winnipeg on Sunday afternoon and Edmonton on Monday afternoon.
