
Elias Pettersson received votes for three major NHL awards
Vancouver Canucks centre Elias Pettersson earned votes in three separate National Hockey League Award categories as trophies were presented on Monday night in Nashville.
Pettersson finished seventh in voting for the Frank J Selke Award, eighth in Lady Byng voting and tied with Sidney Crosby for 18th spot in Hart Trophy balloting.
Final votes for the Hart TrophyThe 24-year-old earned recognition from voting members of the Professional Hockey Writers Association (PHWA) following his 39-goal and 102-point season. Pettersson received one fourth place vote and one fifth place ballot for the Hart which goes annually to the players adjudged to be most valuable to his team.
Pettersson was one of four Canucks to factor in individual award voting. Defenseman Quinn Hughes finished ninth in the running for the Norris Trophy earning one first place vote and a pair of second place votes in the process.
Final votes for the Norris TrophyAndrei Kuzmenko received one third place vote and one fifth place ballot finishing 31st in the voting for the Lady Byng. While JT Miller earned one fifth place vote for the Selke. Former Canucks captain Bo Horvat earned a third place and two fifth place votes for the Selke Trophy.
Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes also received votes for NHL year-end All Star teams. Pettersson finished fifth among centres garnering 10 third place votes while Hughes matched his Norris status finishing ninth among defensemen earning three first place votes and 21 second place ballots in the 1-2-3 voting system used for All Star team selections.
