Vancouver allowed six goals in a 5:45 span against the Wild.

The Vancouver Canucks (37-14-6) had a third-period collapse for the ages as they fell to the Minnesota Wild (26-23-6) 10-7. Vancouver gave up seven goals in the third period for the fifth time in franchise history and the first since Mar. 10, 2014, against the New York Islanders. It was also the first time this season the Canucks have suffered a regulation loss when leading after two periods, pushing their record to 31-1-2.

While Vancouver did score seven goals, there were far more negatives than positives. They couldn't stay out of the box, which led to four power play goals against and tied a franchise record by allowing seven goals in the third period. For a team with aspirations of going on a long playoff run, this game was very concerning as it was also the fourth straight in which they were shorthanded at least four times. With the Colorado Avalanche next on the schedule, the Canucks will need to ensure they stay disciplined and improve their defensive structure to avoid their first three-game losing streak of the season.

Quotes:

J.T. Miller on focusing on tomorrow's game:

"This doesn't happen very often. I'm glad we play a game tomorrow, and it's going to be a good test for our group."

Rick Tocchet's thoughts on the game:

"You have to learn how to play under pressure. We gave up four five-on-threes. The goal at the end of the first and then the penalty off the second. These are lessons that we have to learn how to play under pressure. Our five-on-five play was good. Lots of chances. I thought we played five-on-five, but the other parts of our game were not good. "
