Vancouver Canucks prospect Sawyer Mynio has been named to the CHL Team of the Month for March, 2025. The Calgary Hitmen's defenceman recorded three goals and 12 points in nine games while also helping the Hitmen snag the third seed in the WHL's Western Conference. Mynio is one of two WHLers who were named to March's CHL Team of the Month, joining Medicine Hat Tigers Gavin McKenna.

March's CHL Team of the Month is jam-packed with talent. Joining Mynio and McKenna are Washington Capitals' prospect Ilya Protas, New Jersey Devils' prospect Cam Squires, San Jose Sharks' prospect Sam Dickinson and goaltender Mathis Rousseau. While playoff games were played during March, the Team of the Month was selected based solely on regular-season play.

Mynio has had an impressive 2024-25 campaign. The Canucks 2023 third-rounder recorded 45 points in 49 games, which were split between the Seattle Thunderbirds and the Hitmen. Mynio also represented Team Canada at the 2025 World Juniors, recording one assist in three games.

As for the 2025 WHL Playoffs, Mynio has started strong with three assists in three games. He has also recorded seven shots and has a plus/minus of +3. Thanks to Mynio's strong play, Calgary is currently up 3-0 on the Saskatoon Blades in their first-round series.
