This year's All-Hockey East Second Team is stacked with talent. Joining Willander and Hutson are Albin Boija, Guillaume Richard, Joey Muldowney and Hudson Schandor. The league's 11 head coaches vote on the year-end all-star teams.
Now in his second season, Willander is thriving at Boston University. He has 21 points in 33 games and has helped the Terriers to a 20-12-2 record. Based on reports, this could be Willander's last year in the NCAA, as he is projected to sign a contract with Vancouver once his season is complete.
Up next for Willander and Boston University will be the year-end Hockey East Tournament. The Terriers will face UMass in the quarterfinals, which is scheduled for March 15. This year's final is set to take place on March 21 from TD Garden in Boston.
