
The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed goaltender Nikita Tolopilo to a two-year contract, two-way contract. Tolopilo's new deal will carry an AAV of $775,000 and keep him with the organization through the 2026-27 season. An undrafted prospect, Tolopilo signed with the Canucks on March 31, 2023, and was a restricted free agent this summer.
In a press release, GM Patrik Allvin wrote, "Nikita had a good year of development in Abbotsford. He worked hard on his game, and he took a step forward in becoming a better pro. We will continue to work with him to provide the best path forward for both the player and our organization."
Tolopilo spent the majority of last season with the Abbotsford Canucks. He posted a record of 20-14-2 while finishing the year with four shutouts. Tolopilo also made his NHL debut on April 14, 2025, where he made 15 saves in a victory over the San Jose Sharks.

Based on Vancouver's current depth chart, Tolopilo is projected to be Abbotsford's starter next season. He will be sharing the net with Ty Young as well as Jiří Patera. Listed at 6'6", 229 lbs, Tolopilo has a record of 40-27-3 during his AHL career.
