Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes was snubbed by EA Sports NHL 24 in its team of the year selections.

Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes was snubbed by EA Sports NHL 24 in its 2023 Team of The Year selections. 

Hughes played 82 games in the year 2023 and scored 91 points.

Dallas Stars defenseman Miro Heiskanen is a terrific player, but his 2023 was not nearly as good as Hughes's. In 79 games in 2023, he had 70 points.

Hughes led all defensemen in the NHL in points in 2023. He was named captain of the Canucks team after Bo Horvat was traded. 

This season the Canucks sit in first place in the Pacific Division and will contend for a Stanley Cup. 

Hughes was just named to his second All-Star game, for good reason. 

Hughes leads all NHL defensemen in points this season with 46 (10 goals, 36 assists).

Once again, Heiskanen is a terrific defenseman, but Quinn Hughes should be on that list. 

Elias Pettersson was also nominated for the 2023 NHL Team of The Year but was not selected.
