A former Vancouver Canucks forward has been hired by the Seattle Kraken. Zac Dalpe, who played one season with the Canucks will be joining the Kraken next season as a player development consultant. Dalpe played 168 games in the NHL, with the majority of those games coming in Vancouver.

Dalpe joined the Canucks in 2013 when he was traded along with Jeremy Welsh to Vancouver by the Carolina Hurricanes for a 2014 fourth-round pick and Kellan Tochkin. During his one season with the organization, the 35-year-old recorded four goals and seven points in 55 games. Dalpe also played six games with the Utica Comets, recording three assists and two penalty minutes.

Overall, Dalpe had a few memorable games with the Canucks. He recorded a goal and an assist on January 26, 2014, against the Phoenix Coyotes, while scoring on the powerplay against the Dallas Stars on March 6, 2014. In the end, Dalpe was a versatile player for Vancouver as he saw time both on the wing and at center during the 2013-14 season.
