The hockey club has divided its top prospects into two teams for tonight's scrimmage at UBC
The on-ice portion of Vancouver Canucks summer development will come to a close tonight at UBC.
After three days off on-ice sessions, the prospects in attendance will be divided into two teams for a Wednesday night scrimmage. The teams will be guided by Player Development coaches Mikael Samuelsson and Mike Komisarek. Samuelsson's team features 2022 first rounder Jonathan Lekkerimaki along with Josh Bloom and Max Sasson up front. The Team Samuelsson blueline boasts 2023 first rounder Tom Willander, 2022 third round pick Elias Pettersson and 2020 third-rounder Joni Jurmo. The team also includes intriguing goalie prospect Nikita Tolopilo.
Komisarek's line-up includes Akito Hirose and Cole McWard on defense. The forward group is led by Dmitry Zlodeyev and recent draft picks Vilmer Alriksson, Ty Mueller and Matthew Perkins.

Face-off is set for 6pm tonight on the Father David Bauer rink at UBC. The scrimmage is not open to the public, but the Canucks made a select group of tickets available on Tuesday night. Check the team website for availability.
