The Vancouver Canucks are down to their final 10 games of the 2024-25 regular season. After playing 72 games, Vancouver has collected 80 points and currently sits just below the playoff bar. Overall, the next few weeks will be a little chaotic for the Canucks, as they may need a long win streak to qualify for the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

According to MoneyPuck.com, Vancouver has a 19.2% chance of qualifying for the playoffs heading into their matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday. They sit slightly above the Calgary Flames, who are at 18% and below the St. Louis Blues, who have jumped to 73.1%. Ultimately, it is not an ideal situation as the Canucks best seed odds are the second Wild Card, which currently sit at 13.2%.

Focusing on Friday's game, the final result will drastically change Vancouver's playoff odds. With a regulation win, the Canucks playoff odds rise to 27%, while a regulation loss drops them to 10.7%. In the end, Vancouver can not afford a regulation loss tonight, and if they do lose, they need to find a way to pick up a point.

The Canucks play their fifth of sixth straight on the road Friday when they take on the Blue Jackets. This is a key matchup for both teams as each is battling for a spot in the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Puck drop is scheduled for 4:00 pm PT from Nationwide Arena.
