A jam-packed edition featuring a one-on-one interview with Todd Bertuzzi prior to the 2006 Olympics.

In this edition of The Hockey News, Mark Brender sits down with Vancouver Canucks winger Todd Bertuzzi about the upcoming 2006 Olympics in Turin. On top of quotes from Bertuzzi, the piece also includes a breakdown from Steve Tambellini, the then director of player personnel for Team Canada and assistant GM for the Canucks, about what made "Big Bert" such a special player. This can't-miss article breaks down everything from his inclusion on Team Canada to the rumours surrounding a potential trade out of Vancouver.

Also included in this edition is a short piece by Elliott Pap previewing what the Canucks need to do at the deadline. According to Pap, the biggest issue was the defence, which was very thin at the time. Also included in the column is a discussion about Vancouver's backup goaltender situation, as, at the time, they were relying too much on Alex Auld.

Lastly, make sure to head to the back of the issue to revisit some of the scoring races from the 2005-06 season. From an intense battle between Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin for the rookie scoring lead to looking back at some of the crazy ice time forwards were averaging close to two decades ago, this page is an excellent reminder of what the NHL used to look like.
