A look back at the Canucks hot start to the 1991-92 season.

In this edition of The Hockey News, travel back to November of 1991 and revisit one of the hottest starts to the season in Vancouver Canucks history. Written by Mike Beamish, this article breaks down some of the factors behind the Canucks strong start to the year that had "New Canuck fans were running to catch up to the bandwagon." From head coach Pat Quinn's influence on and off the ice to improved play by several players, the story explains why the 1991-92 season would be the first in 15 years that Vancouver would finish above .500.

Also included in this edition is an article written by Eliott Pap about Trevor Linden, who, at the time, signed the richest contract in franchise history. The 21-year-old's new contract was a four-year deal that would pay him $3.7 million CAN over its lifespan. Make sure to also check out the write-up about fan favourite Gino Ojdick at the bottom of the page. Read about his successful penalty shot against Mike Vernon of the Calgary Flames, which included quotes from Ojdick and Quinn about the goal.
